Cybergamer DotA 5v5 Rules
1. Ladder Software Information / Rules:
# 1.1.
A team can only challenge an opponent half their own rank or four places higher than themselves, whichever is greater.
-
For Example: A team ranked 38th can challenge up to a team that is ranked 19th.
# 1.2.
Upon receiving a notice of a challenge, the team has
TWO days to accept a time and date provided by the challenger for the match, otherwise it is deemed that the defendant has forfeited.
# 1.3.
If a team successfully defends their position, the ladder automatically grants a '
Protected' status for
FORTY-EIGHT hours, awarding immunity from challenges.
# 1.4.
Challenging and winning will leave you with a normal status of '
Free'.
# 1.5.
If you lose a '
Challenging' match you will become '
Vulnerable' for
FORTY-EIGHT hours where you will be unable to challenge.
# 1.6.
If you lose a '
Defending' match you will become '
Vulnerable' for
TWELVE hours where you will be unable to challenge.
# 1.7.
If you do not accept a challenge or you decline the challenge you will become '
Vulnerable' for
FORTY-EIGHT hours where you will be unable to challenge.
# 1.8.
Following a match, it is crucial that each team must submit the result or select to dispute the match by 11:30PM AEST on the night of the match. Subsequently, the submitted results will be calculated and the teams will be granted either '
Challengeable' or '
Protected' statuses. Disputes can be handled among the two teams; otherwise a ladder administrator takes appropriate action.
# 1.9.
A team may not play the same team in two successive matches - 7 days after the first match the ladder will allow you to challenge them again.
2. General Ladder Rules:
# 2.1.
By default
ALL games are to be played via Garena.
# 2.2.

# 2.3.
Teams must contact each other 15 minutes before the match time. This
MUST be done by using the Garena - War3 RPG - Oceania - Cybergamer Room.
# 2.4.
The teams have to contact each other before the match time, after this you have 15 minutes to get your team in the hosted game. You may deviate from this if the other team agrees.
# 2.5.

5. Save Games:
# 5.1.
Teams are encouraged to save the game every 10 minutes or after major events (big team fights, roshan kills, barracks kills, etc.). Both teams are responsible for saving the game. You should always announce a save with a countdown and / or a pause. Save often!
# 5.2.
When there are problems with the game (no saves or the host disconnects at 55 minutes and the last save was at 15 minutes, etc.) you must contact a ladder admin who will decide what happens.
6. Other Rules & Regulations:
# 6.1.
Each team has a maximum of two pauses, 5 minutes, per team. If the other team agrees the pause can be extended past 5 minutes, before pausing and unpausing you need to inform your enemy about this with a count down, so you don't get any advantage. Special pauses (after a disconnect, to save a game, etc) do not count towards this limit. Abuse of the pause function might result in a default loss.
# 6.2.
The administration can postpone matches if they have been informed of any special conditions well before the actual match time.

Once a game has started, no substitutes can be made unless the other team agrees. This includes when the drafting is completed but gameplay has not yet started.
