The New & Revised CyberGamer HoN Rule set

Ignorance of these rules is not an excuse; the upcoming season will heavily rely on this rule set to solve disputes. It is your own responsibility to keep up to date with the rules listed below.

===============================
1. Challenging & Defending
===============================
# 1.1
A team can only challenge an opponent half their own rank or four places higher than themselves, whichever is greater.

# 1.2
Upon receiving a notice of a challenge, the defending team has 48 hours to accept by choosing one of the time slots and days provided by the challenging team. Failure to accept the challenge in the two day period will result in a forfeit.

# 1.3
If a team successfully defends their position, the ladder automatically grants a 'Protected' status for FORTY-EIGHT hours, awarding immunity from challenges.

# 1.4
Challenging and winning will leave you with a 'Free' status; leaving you to challenge or be challenged as per usual.

# 1.5
If you lose a 'Challenging' match you will become 'Vulnerable' for FORTY-EIGHT hours where you will be unable to challenge.

# 1.6
If you lose a 'Defending' match you will become 'Vulnerable' for TWELVE hours where you will be unable to challenge.

# 1.7
If you do not accept a challenge or you decline the challenge you will become 'Vulnerable' for FORTY-EIGHT hours where you will be unable to challenge.

# 1.8
Following a match, it is crucial that each team either a)submits the result, or b) chooses to dispute the match before 11:30PM AEST on the night of the match. Subsequently, the submitted results will be compared and each of the teams will be granted the appropriate ladder status (see 1.4/1.5/1.6). It is possible for disputes to be handled amongst the two teams; if a result cannot be agreed upon for whatever reason, a ladder administrator will step in and take appropriate action in conjunction with the rules listed here.

# 1.9
A team may not play the same team in two successive matches; 7 days after the first match the ladder will allow you to challenge them again.

===============================
2. Match Setup
===============================
# 2.1
The latest HoN version is to be used for all matches.
If new Hero or Item Content is released, it is Autobanned from any matches up to 3 days from release.
If both teams agree (Screenshot or admin spectate required), the new content can be used.

# 2.2
Map: Grimm Crossing
Team Size: 3v3
Mode: Banning Pick (explanation in spoiler)
SPOILER: Click to view

Game Type: Public Hosted game

# 2.3
10 Observer slots must be left open for allowed spectators; these are CyberGamer HoN admins & referees, Shoutcasters and Content team members.

# 2.4
All servers are to be made on Australian HoN servers where possible. If unable to acquire one by the set match start time, a US West or Japanese Server may be used if both teams agree.

# 2.5
The Challenging team is required to host the match with the hostname "CGo Team 1 vs Team 2". This is derived from the match details page, 'Team 1' is replaced with the 'Challenger' tag and 'Team 2' is replaced with the 'Defender' tag.

# 2.6
Teams will designate 1 player in the game lobby to /roll 1 2'. The 1st team will have the choice of pick order or side, and the 2nd team will choose the remaining option.

# 2.7
It is each teams own responsibility to ensure that each of their members has their HoN username on their CyberGamer Profile Click here to add it in under the 'Game Information: additional ID's' section. This is COMPULSORY.

# 2.8
If a team is not able to gather 4 players for a scheduled match they will automatically forfeit the match.

===============================
3. Match Play
===============================
# 3.1
Completely closing the entrance to the base using abilities is forbidden, as is rendering creeps unable to reach their destination by the use of similar abilities.
For example, behemoth's fissure ability.

# 3.2
The following items are able to be shared, however, a maximum of 10 minutes sharing time applies before the item is to be returned to the original owner: Bottle, Lifetube, Manatube, Sustainer, Scarab, and Trinket of Restoration.

# 3.3
The sharing of basic regeneration items, wards, consumables, and gems is allowed.

# 3.4
Players are legally allowed to attack both the Tier 1, and Tier 2 Defense Tower of each lane with NO creep support.
The Tier 3 Defense Tower, and the Surrounding Barracks for each lane, must NOT be attacked WITHOUT creeps.
In the event that a player has legally pushed the Tier 3 Buildings with a creepwave that has died, the player can continue to push that building until retreat.
Additionally, players are also entitled to attack Tier 3 buildings if their creep's are already inside the enemy base. (i.e. a successfull push bottom lane, allows teams to attack the Tier 3 buildings in the middle and top lane).
Tier 3 Defense Towers that are deniable can also be attacked without creep support.

# 3.5
Once a game has started, no substitutes can be made unless the other team agrees. This includes when the drafting is completed but gameplay has not yet started. (If a substitute has been arranged, Teams will remake in All Pick, and select the same heroes.)

# 3.6
Each team has a maximum of three pauses, Each pause can last a maximum of 5 minutes. If the other team agrees the pause can be extended past 5 minutes. The opposing team is NOT to unpause

# 3.7
A game ends when a) the World Tree / Sacrificial Shrine is destroyed or b) The team captain forfeits.

===============================
4. General Rules
===============================
# 4.1
Players must play using only their own accounts. Having 'ringers' (other players competing on a registered account) is not permitted.
For example: 'Person A' is the only person allowed to play on 'Person A's account. 'Person B' may not use 'Person A's account to play 'Person A's match.
This is known as smurfing. If your team is found to be guilty of smurfing; the players in question will both be ineligible to play for the remainder of the season, and the match will be overturned.

# 4.2
If a captain suspects the opposing team is in breach of rule 4.1 (ringing/smurfing) they are to dispute the issue prior to the match start so that checks can be done by the appropriate admins.
As soon as gameplay begins, it is deemed that both teams accept the other's roster as a legal lineup, and the full match is to be played out.
However, if it is revealed that a player is indeed smurfing in the game at hand; with evidence to a ladder admin - A DQ will apply and appropriate consequences will come into effect (see end of 4.1).

# 4.3
In an effort to prevent breaches of rule 4.1 regarding smurfing; CyberGamer Admins/Referees reserve the right to force all players in the game to log on CyberGamer for an IP check. Both teams will have 5 minutes to carry out this task.
Failure to do as instructed will result in the disqualification of the players unable to carry out the request, for the match at hand.
There should be NO reason for a player to be unable to access his/her CyberGamer account.

# 4.4
Players may only play for one team on the ladder.

# 4.5
Teams found to be abusing Game Bugs will forfeit the match at hand.

# 4.6
When dealing with an admin, remain respectful and courteous. We're here to help you!
If players are found to be excessively abusive or refuse to listen to an Admin or Ref (prior to match start), the player will be disallowed from the match at hand and possibly future games. If similar behaviour persists in future games, the player may be removed from the HoN ladder all together.

# 4.7
Teams that continually disobey HoN Ladder Staff's directions/orders will be awarded a default loss.
For example, if a player is to be removed from the match as directed by an admin, and the team refuses to comply; A default loss will be awarded and the match will not take place.

# 4.8
Allowed spectators (listed in rule 2.3), have the right to spectate all matches.
Any objections should be placed with the Head Admins (see 6.3) with a detailed, evidential and reasonable excuse.
The head admin will have the final say on the matter and may step in to spectate if good reason in the objection is found.
i.e. The allowed spectator is on either of the current teams rosters.

===============================
5. Disconnects and Remakes
===============================
# 5.1
There is a limit of one remake per team for each game. More are allowed if both teams agree.

# 5.2
The game cannot be remade after the first 10 minutes have passed and / or one player's hero has been killed by the enemy team.

# 5.3
Abusing the remake function will result in a default loss.

# 5.4
If a player disconnects he can reconnect to the game immediately. If the disconnected player cannot reconnect, the game will be remade under the following circumstances:
a)The player has disconnected before any hero has been killed.
b)The player is suffering from a game bug not allowing the player to reconnect. (Screenshot is required).

# 5.5
If one player disconnects (and is unable to reconnect) and there is no remake, you are allowed to:
a) Use the hero and his items
b) Sell all items from the hero

# 5.6
After a remake the players have to pick the same heroes and same items and assume the same lanes as before. The case both teams agree you are allowed to do a remake with new items and / or lanes.
- When remade make it in the mode "All Pick" to quicken the process.
