As so many people are asking me the same questions over and over again, i felt i had to put something up here for people to read.
The rules for the l4d1 ladder tournament are very very simple, they are the same rules as the previous rotoblin tournaments we have held and by now, we all know what they are anyway.
But... i shall answer some of the FAQ's i keep hearing
Q. Can we play the match on a private server?
A. No you cannot, the matches are to be played on a CyberGamer server using the latest rotoblin HC config.
Q. Do scores count with the map multiplier on?
A. No they don not count, map multipliers are not a score system recognized by a CG l4d1 tournament, they are useless and serve almost no purpose and it was decided on they will not be part of the scoring system
Although, in the instance that something goes wrong and map multies are "on" scores are to be recorded after each round by both teams before the map multi multiplies your score and that will be the one submitted at the end of your match.
Q. What maps are being used in this tournament? are we using custom maps?
A. No we are not using any custom maps in this tournament, the map rotation and selection choices are Death Toll, Blood Harvest, No Mercy and Dead Air
Q. Is the HR allowed in this tournament?
A. Yes, we are allowing the Hunting Rifle in this tournament and it will be available in every CG game with a normal limit of 1.
Q. What do we do if the other team doesnt show and we cannot get onto them
A. As per usual, the other team has a 15 min grace period after the stated game time in which to show up in the server for there match. ( E.g if game is at 8pm, both teams have untill 8:15pm to be in the server and ready to play ) If at the end of this 15 mins all 4 members are not in the server and ready to rock, The team that is ready to go and has a full squad can order a forfeit if they want to and will win the match 1-0 on the scoreboard.
Under different circumstances, you are allowed to postpone your matches with the ok from both teams. If you would like to do this, simply contact me ( SilentNiGht ) with your new choice of date and time and i can manually do that for you.
Q. Can we spectate the ladder matches this tournament?
A. Although in other tournament spectating has not been allowed, we have chosen to allow it in this one as it is more of a friendly relaxed one that an actual serious tourny. BUT... This is at the digression of the teams playing, if even 1 of the 2 teams playing disagrees with spectators, all specs must leave the server or they will be kicked.
In the instance that spectators are allowed to watch the game, there is to be NO global chat WHAT SO EVER. Specs are there to watch the game, not talk in global for the other teams to see. Any one who does this will be kicked, and will not be allowed back into the server till the match is over
All the other rules are pretty straight forward guys and im sure once again, that we all know what they are by now.
If you have any questions at all please add myself, jekt or phil on steam.
Also one other thing. Im not pointing fingers at anyone, but if you think it's funny and "cool" to come into a CyberGamer server and abuse admins, trash talk, troll and generally be a pest, you will get a kick from the server. After that if you still find it funny to continue, You will get a ban simple as that. People who are playing a game don't need or want to listen to that crap. Coming in and spectating a game is fine, no one will tell you that you cannot do that, but coming in for the sole reason to annoy people and slander is not acceptable.
