2 - Registration & Membership Accounts
SPOILER: Click to view2.1 - Register
To register at CyberGamer you must agree to follow the CyberGamer terms and conditions. Your registration information and profile information should be correct. Register here to join the CyberGamer community.
2.2 - Accounts
All Players are required to be a member of www.CyberGamer.com.au. Any account names containing the following(but not limited to) will not be tolerated: racism, abuse, drug use; these are all examples of unacceptable names. Players found with offensive names will have their name edited to something more appropriate by an admin. If a member is found to be using an account name that is deemed offensive after having it changed by an admin, that member will be issued a warning. If the rule is violated a second time, that member may be banned from the forums and/or matches.
Players are reminded that they may only operate one CG Account per person. Multiple CG accounts found to a single user will result in the suspension of all accounts until they nominate an account. Your CG account can only have one (1) Battle.Net Name.### in use for CyberGamer events and may only be apart of one(1) 2v2 team. You may not play for multiple teams in different divisions. A breaching this rule may result in account suspension until breach is resolved by an admin. Suspended players who play in a match will have their match ban increased across ALL CyberGamer events and, if won, their match overturned
3 - Player Requirements
SPOILER: Click to view3.1 - Information
Personal information submitted by each member for his or her profile must be accurate. Profiles, comments, names, avatars, or other information posted on the website deemed offensive to the general public will be edited, with possible member warnings.
3.2 - Battle.Net Name.###
Your Battle.net Name.### is to be added to your CG profile before you begin playing in any CG events. Players are only allowed one (1) Battle.net Name.### for CG events. If any player is caught playing with a different Battle.net Name.### to the one specified in their profile the game will be forfeited to the other player.
To find your Name.### hold your mouse over your profile picture at the main multiplayer screen in Starcraft2. Add that number to you character name.
3.3 - Sportsmanship/Abuse
Unsportsmanlike conduct and abuse during, prior or after matches will not be tolerated by CyberGamer. CyberGamer suggests that all players conduct themselves accordingly. If a player or team is found guilty of unsportsmanlike conduct or abuse, punishments will be issued. Pre-match and post match pleasantries weather 'said' or 'not said' will not be consideration as an unsportsmanlike conduct breach. Unwelcome non-friendly banter and trash talk (viewed from the receivers point of view) would be an example of a possible breach pending admin review on a per case basis. We wish to promote a healthy competition that everyone can enjoy, young or old.
3.4 - Match times and forfeits
Players are responsible for organising matches and showing up on time. Players who cannot show up on time will be issued with a forfeit. Three(3) forfeits in a row will see you/your team drop the bottom of the ladder.
3.5 - Recording Replays & Uploading
All players must record a Replay for all CG matches. The winner must upload the replay when they submit the scores of the match. In the event of a dispute ALL players will be required to upload their Replay. You are recommended to make a CG folder and save your CG match replays to it in-case of dispute. Failure to upload your replay on request will result in your forfeit and a possible week long match ban.
You can find your replays at \My Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\xxxxxxxx\x-xx-x-xxxx\Replays\Unsaved
3.6 - Disconnections and Dropouts
Each team(or player for 1v1) that drops out during these time periods will be granted the following:
- Time A: From 0:00 to 2:00 minutes -OR- to the first unit or building destroyed (whichever happens first) an automatic restart will be granted.
- Time B: From Time A to 5:00 minutes you will be granted a restart if your opponent agrees. If not you will forfeit
- Time C: After 6:00 minutes a restart will not be permitted; a forfeit will be issued if you drop out.
Each player or team is only allowed one[1] restart per match, weather it be a single map or Best of three(Bo3). However all restarts must come into accord with the situations above. There will be no 3rd restarts for any match. If the same person or team has a second drop out they will forfeit, or in the case of 2v2 the game will have to proceed 2v1.
3.7 - Pausing
Each team(or player in 1v1) is allowed one(1) pause during the game. This can be done at any time.
Your opponent cannot unpause the game until a full five(5) minutes has passed(a total of 300 seconds). Before your opponent unpauses they must state their intentions and give 15seconds notice. "I am unpausing in 15 seconds as 5minutes has passed". They are then free to unpause the game with or without your presence.
If your opponent unpauses a match earlier than five (5:00) minutes they will forfeit. If you pause a game more than once per match you will forfeit. A pause is NOT defined by time. If you pause it even for a split second, that is your pause used for the duration of the match. Exploitation of this rule will see you forfeit the match, we recommend you finish the current skirmish to avoid falling into this category.
3.8 - Winning your match
The following are ways in which you can win your match:
- If your opponent fails to be ready to start the game within 10minutes of the Start time on the match page.

6 - Matches
SPOILER: Click to view6.1 - Issuing a challenge
To see How the CG Ladder system works view the thread. The Ladders will be played under Turbo Mode meaning matches can be offered and accepted very close to the current time.
6.2 - Setting up the match
When the game time has arrived, the challenger must create a new game with both the challenger and the defender, or if an admin is going to be refereeing the match the admin will create the match and invite both players. You must wait for the start time on the match page to play to allow admins and shout casters to join if they wish.
6.3 - Multiple challenges
The CG site allows multiple challenges though it cannot be done through the ladder, it must be done by admin. We will happily set up 2nd matches on the same day for the CG-Live ladder if both parties agree on the time and you can reach an admin in time.
6.4 - Bo3 and Bo5 map format
For some events where a Best of 3 (Bo3) or Best of 5 (Bo5) are required per match, the maps will be set out in order by the organiser; map1 = x, map2 = y, map3 = z.
In most cases when a match requires a Bo3, like the CG ladders, a map pool will be provided. The maps and the number of maps in the pool may vary from event to event, but the general format of selection will be as follows:
Ladders:
- Each players votes one(1) map off the pool they don't want to play; the match challenger votes first.
- With the maps that remain, the defender chooses the starting map for the first game in the Bo3.
- The loser of each game decides the following map until a player reaches two(2) wins; 2-0 or 2-1
Events:
- Each Player will take turns voting maps off the list until the desired amount of maps has been reached; three (3) for a Bo3 and five (5) for a Bo5. (There will not be an even number map pool)
- Each player will then take turns in voting maps down until there is 1 map left. This map will be the starting map.
- At the end of each map, the loser will chose the next map to play. This will happen until a player reaches a majority of wins where the match winner will be declared.
6.5 - Battle.net errors
If a match has been scheduled and there are wide spread battle.net issues then the match will be nullified by a ladder administrator and both parties free to challenge at a later time.
6.6 Global Chat
Global chat is allowed in matches only when communicating with the opposing team/player such as the start and end of a game as well as when pausing. (See rule 3.7 Above) Abuse of global chat privileges could see penalties issued to the offending team/player.
7 - Disputes
SPOILER: Click to view
7.1 - Player/ Team Disputes
Disputes made in regards to an individual or team actions during a match should be made AFTER the completion of the match, make sure you upload your replays for evidence.
7.2 - Dispute Process
All disputes made by members of the leagues will be attended to (but not necessarily resolved) within a time frame of one [1] day. We endeavor to make the decisions as quick and as conclusive as possible, but teams/players need to recognize the workload that exists for admins. Teams are not to contact/ hassle administrators by private message or any other means unless requested by an administrator. If you can't wait for administrators to resolve the dispute patiently then DO NOT dispute the match and/or take the loss. EVERYTHING IS SAID AND KEPT IN THE DISPUTE.
Note that should any dispute arise while the match is LIVE, players/teams will be told to COMPLETE the match as normal. A review of what happened can be made after an official dispute is lodged after the match has been completed. CG admins have the final say on the matter. Unless a team can shed new evidence in regards to their dispute, then there is no appeal process available to teams.
7.3 - Dispute Submission
A dispute made by a player/ team will only become official when the captain of that team lodges an official dispute. When making a dispute please make it as understandable as possible and have evidence if applicable.
7.4 - Replays
The main piece of evidence required by the CG Starcraft admins will be the replay of the match. Players are to advise the administrator IN THE DISPUTE THREAD A) The map number and B) The approximate time of the disputed situation. The administrator will then review the dispute and make the decision accordingly.
7.5 Other Evidence
Other evidence such as private message chatlogs must be timestamped, uploaded and linked to the dispute thread. Other evidence may include, but is not limited to:
Private message chatlogs
Screenshots of the match
Voice recordings between players
7.6 - Discussion of Disputes
Discussion of disputes is STRICTLY forbidden to be between the admins of CyberGamer and the disputers only . All things can be said in the dispute. DO NOT go PM'ing or IM'ing administrators. Abusive language in dispute threads towards either the opposing player/team OR the administrator/s may result in you losing your match AND being banned.
8 - Spectators
SPOILER: Click to view8.1 Authorised Spectators
CyberGamer Starcraft ladder referees and administrators are free to join any game that they see fit. Other authorised spectators are Gamestah shoutcasters, who have the right to join any match and broadcast it at their discretion. Any player who refuses to play a match because of a referee/administrator or Gamestah shoutcaster spectating the match will forfeit the match. Non official spectators are permitted to join CyberGamer matches if ALL of the following conditions are met:

- Both players, or all players of both teams must agree in the lobby chat on allowing each person to spectate.
- All non official spectators must be "Spectator" not "Referee"
- Screenshots of the lobby must be taken and kept for a minimum duration of 2 weeks incase the match is disputed. The screenshot must show the spectators and the lobby chat showing agreement of said spectators.
- If any spectator causes the disconnect window to show, or the message "player x is slowing the game down" they must leave the game immediately without being requested to ask.
9 - Punishments
SPOILER: Click to view
9.1 - Punishments
