Reflection...

I was introduced to Cybergamer in late 2010 by Fewkesy, where the two of us decided to branch off from the harrowing 'taunt-gaming' image in order to start a horrible server graping plague upon cod4, known as the [Mob]

[Mob] was literally an angry mob that was becoming more and more vengeful; to the point where we had over 20 members. It was then we decided to narrow the roster down to 8 or so players to make the team more productive.

Moments of madness unfolded, as the members who weren't part of the 8, left in disgust. Fortunately, they rejoiced to the team we now know as... [proX].

The newly formed 8 decided it was time for a name change to mark the beginning of the new hope. For whatever reason, we went with Jaysons idea, dG' - Dedicated Gamers which later changed to team AfterShock -shock` as we strived to give it our all to tackle the cgo scene.

We started off with a bang, with 4 straight wins on the board, putting us into #22. However, our unbeaten record later turned upside down as we lost 4 straight to the likes of unique, armada, etc.

Eventually we managed to steady the ship thanks to the the heroic performance of 'Perfect'. Who single-handedly got us over the line in many occasions. Mr. Perfect... I salute you!

That was untill Mr. Perfect was stopped in his tracks by the ruthless, Tellstra organization. Which in turn, saw his unstoppable record disappear before our eyes as his ping became so bad, that not even Satin himself would find it bearable.

Things were looking quite grim, till Unit-gaming's, Juzzy, invited us to be their team2. We happily took the opportunity and had a blast! But as time went by, things became a little crazy; mainly due to an unreliable team1 leader, Juzzy. Which in turn, saw both teams branch off from unit to create two newly formed teams known as... insanity.

As the insanity manager, the cold-truth was to have team1 the stronger side, whilst team2 the side to accompany them. The plan initially seemed to work. Team1 hit top spot on the ladder as they, with the help of team2, trained and scrimmed tirelessly through the night. So much, I guess you could even say we were the most active team around.

Unfortunately as time went by, with little attention drawn to team2 they obviously became more and more frustrated and decided it was best to branch off into the semi-professional team known as... 'Simply'. Leaving only team1 left, who struggled to uphold there active status due to the tragic loss of team2.

As you can imagine, the lack of activity and game-time became evident as our cgo performances turned razzle-dazzle. We went from the most active team around to the most inactive team around. Our no.1 spot was over, but luckily enough we managed to string together a few come from behind victories, which allowed us to remain in finals contention; whilst preventing bitter rival, [SYF3] from entering top8 territory.

Finals week was upon us and there was no doubt that 10 minutes of pandemic_aim2 preparation was not enough to get us any success. Consequently, we lost to Fragonauts in straight sets, 13-9 and 13-6.

After the disappointing result, we figured it was time to move on and finish whilst were still on a high. And so, team insanity officially demised the next day (1/12/10 - 20/6/11).

A week later, as I was about to wipe the team from the Cybergamer database. I noticed the team was removed from the cgo-top8 league and moved back into the main field of cgo. But to my surprise we were dragged back to the top of the table! I was feeling rather generous at the time, so I thought why not make the most of no.1 spot by donating it to a friends newly formed team.... team Vertox.

Funnily enough, team Vertox died about a week later whilst in no.1 spot due to a hacking dilemma. Alas! Team Vertox was officially dead but I still had access to the captaincy rights. Which saw a friend and former teammate, inept, request the rights to the first-place vacancy.

It was a no-brainer as I gave inept access to the team rights which saw him build the notorious synergy eSports. Synergy had great success. Winning the MSI ODC comp in a convincing fashion whilst looking like there was plenty more to come. They managed to hang onto no.1 spot until the team was disqualified after the team captain was found using some cheat or another.

Anyway, the team has finally been put to rest (7/8/11) as I now say good bye to the cod4 scene and thank everyone along the way for being the best cod4 players that I've ever met.

I love you all!
