Introduction
Rugby League live is the latest rugby league game to hit the Xbox console series since Rugby League 2 was release on Original Xbox back in 2006. Tru Blu Games has handed Big Ant Studios the duties to revive the great game of Rugby League on the leading consoles.
The Game is of coarse set in the current 2010 season for both NRl and SL, with the line ups been taken from the beginning of the 2010 season.
When you first start up your Rugby League Live game, you will be pleased to not hear the lame music that was in the previous games, with a more rock n roll guitar introduction, and also a major improvement in the menus, looks and how less laggy it is to navigate.
Gameplay
Now before i start im going to get straight to the point, the gameplay doesn't have that much of an improvement from the previous League games, there is still the major flaw in dummy half running, which allows you to break right through the ruck with too much ease.
Though in saying this, they have address many other issues which appeared in the other games, there is no longer a free try when you pack the scrum, nor can you simply side step your way through the defense, though im not saying you cant side step, the designers have neatly made the combo very obscure and difficult, making you do it less frequently.
One added improvement to defensive play i admired about the game was the fact you can shift the defense to compress on a certain part of the field, so for example, of the opposition has been tackled on the left wing, you can compress your defense holding the left trigger, shifting your line to the left, though obviously you do this at the risk of long passes.
They have also cleaned up the random knock ons, forward passes and held tackles, you only get penalised for these if you the player make it occur, for example, if you shape to kick, and before you do you get tackled, the player knocks it on most the time, no longer will you be running down the touch line about to score and you randomly fumble it, though you really don't need to worry about these, they can all be turned off at the menus or during the game.
another feature i was hoping to see an improvement on was the goal kicking and kick offs, kick offs im happy to say there is no spot to just bounce the ball out, they have limited your angles maki...

Rugby League Live review
Driver: San Francisco
Release Date: Q4 2010 (Q1 2011 Au)
Publisher: Ubisoft
Developer: Ubisoft Reflections
So, the classic Driver series is again in development by Ubisoft for the first time on Xbox 360, responsible for some of my favourite games from PS1 and the original Xbox. They originals had realistic handling, awesome graphics, free roam driving, excellent damage models, sick soundtrack, decent story line and awesome police chases.
The game is set to continue those themes in a modern environment and be set in the one location, San Francisco which featured in the first game. There is over 200 kilometres of roads and landmarks along with hopefully launching off the hilly areas. There is over 120 licensed vehicles, from classic muscle to modern exotics all of which can be obliterated in collisions.
The game has a new feature however, called "Shift" and it basically allows you to swap vechicles as your driving, along with influencing other cars of the road via some sort of mind control. Thats a bit unbelieveable and im unsure if this will play a part in the single player, but it seems more suited to multiplayer powereups which has 9 game modes and should make for a good online game.
They will also have a comprehensive replay system return, something the originals did really well and watching you bash through dense traffic was a highlight, which you can now share over XBL.

Upcoming MMA Games.
Mixed Martial Arts has been around for quite a while, but it took the forming of the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the mid 90's for it to become popular. Over the last 5 or so years, it has exploded into the mainstream, raking in big money from pay-per-view and has become arguably more popular and legitimate than Boxing.
Capitalising on the UFC success, 2 proper UFC backed titles have been recently produced and received widespread acclaim, largely due to being the "official" and only decent MMA game. This has now spawned a few knock offs, who i feel might be trying to cash in, but never the less there is a new Genre of fighting games emerging.
I have put together a few previews of upcoming MMA inspired titles below.
EA Sports MMA
Release Date: October 21, 2010
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Developer: Tiburon
Easily the most well known upcoming MMA game and has a lot of potential, having been in development shortly after Undisputed 09's success. If you've played Fight Night, it will follow a similar structure with you training a fighter in mini games and traveling the world to learn new moves and techniques for each style or discipline.
If you've been following this game you would know how it came to be, with Dana White (UFC President) approached EA originally to produce a UFC title. He is quoted as saying "EA Sports told us, 'You're not a real sport. We wouldn't touch this thing. We want nothing to do with this... We go out there and do this thing, and it's successful, and now fucking EA Sports wants to do a video game."
That spurred the a follow up quote from Dana White again, "If you do business with EA, you won't be in the UFC". As a result EAS:MMA has 60 real world fighters, and are lacking some huge names from the sport, but the gameplay should be good and the graphics are top notch.

Results for People's Choice Awards CoD: MW2 2010 Pt.2
Ok guys, sorry for the wait but was overwhelmed with votes, shitty week at work and formatting got killed. But anyway, massive thanks to everyone who made the effort and voted, it was the biggest awards by far with 140+ people voting and over 1,500+ different nomintations to review.
As always, because votes are anonymous and for anyone they are spread amongst many nominees, but there were some clear winners in most categories. However, i will get right into it, because alot of you have been hanging on these results.
Best Team:
Someone can correct me if im wrong, but this is by far the most one sided result weve ever had. Malice:
demolished all in game and in the votes taking 87%. Consitant lineup, great management and natural talents have kept Malice at the top for years and looks like little will stop them, well deserved guys.
Best Player:
Alot of nominees who only got a few votes each as there was only 2 fellas in this, Fitzy:
won with 21% and PodX12:
on 18%. Both have been great for a long time and actually played together for a bit in and out of different teams and lineups.
Most Underated Team:
Alot of votes for people's own teams and randy CGo teams, but thats what its about. There were 2 teams 10+ votes ahead of the others, The UNIT:
(17%) who were one of CoD5's best and converted much success in MW2 to beat off Syndicate:
(15%) who are having a dominant CGm run.
Most Underrated Player:
Blazin <3:
(8%) just edged out Renzy:
(6%) with lots of different people nominated. Both are nice guys and not cocky and left an impression on many it seems, most likely from Pugging.
Worst Team:
Alot of different nominations and lots of different reasons. However antiX:
XX who have become a reguar fixture and Syndicate:
drawed with 14% of the votes each.
Worst Player:
Trent:
(12%) just beat Mitchrulz:
XX (11%) to win his 3rd straight worst player award. I know a few people were joking, but these guys can be really annoying...

Medal Of Honor: Tier 1, what to expect?
Release Date: October 14, 2010
Publisher: EA
Developer: Dice
We all know the Medal Of Honor series, it's glorification being primarily set in the ps2 era. Medal Of Honor: Rising Sun etc was easily one of the best offline multiplayers I had come across, with the ability to play split screen with mates or just muck around with the bots by yourself or even mix and match it was a benchmark for multiplayer games for those of us not yet graced with online gaming.
As the series developed we saw titles such as Allied Assault and Airborne hitting our shelves, yet they were always overshadowed by the ever growing call of duty series. This October though we see the developers Dice teaming up with EA to bring an all new Medal Of Honor.
Dice as most of you may know are the brains behind the recent Battlefield Bad Company series which release two successful titles which introduced a game which built an atmosphere of a real battle zone. With immersive game play and destructible environment Dice seduced gamers from the Call of Duty and Halo franchises, at least temporarily. Now with Medal of Honor just around the corner, everyone is eager to see if Dice can one up their Battlefield lovechild.
Game Description
Quote from MoH website: "
Operating directly under the National Command Authority, a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors are called on when the mission must not fail. They are the Tier 1 Operators.
Over 2 million Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines wear the uniform. Of those, approximately 50 thousand fall under the direct control of the Special Operations Command. The Tier 1 Operator functions on a plane of existence above and beyond even the most highly trained Special Operations Forces. Their exact numbers, while classified, hover in the low hundreds. They are living, breathing, precision instruments of war. They are experts in the application of violence. The new Medal of Honor is inspired by and has been developed with Tier 1 Operators from this elite community. Players will step into the boots of these warriors and apply their unique skill sets to a new enemy in the most unforgiving and hostile battlefield conditions of present day Afghanistan.
There is a new enemy. There is a new war. There is a new warrior. He is Tier 1. "

Pretty much, this article contains what I think would be great to see in Black Ops. Furthermore, it contains my opinion on what we'd all like to see. I took the stance of a competitive gamer, as well as a CG Admin.
COD4 P2P League - Master Thread
The CoD Admin team is pleased to announce that there has been a great turn-out of interest for the COD4 P2P Tournament. 27 teams registered their interest and passed the bar in regards to requirements for entry. All details regarding the tournament can be found below (Feel we missed something? PM us!).
Teams will soon be added to their relative pools and entry fee payment can begin! The Admin team is extremely glad to be able to provide the community with such an awesome tournament and wishes everyone the best o' luck!
No more pressing 'START' to view red dots on your maps!

Kane & Lynch 2 + Movie.
Release Date: August 19, 2010
Publisher: Square Enix
Developer: Io Interactive
Kane & Lynch 2 is set to improve on the orginal as you take control of Lynch in Shanghai in this crim thriller as he tries to close an arms deal that goes bad. Apparantly the game has a few control issues carried on from the first game, but there should be a demo out this week, so you should give it a go.
They have further developed the multi player side called "Fragile Alliance", where you can work together or dog each other, its a pretty nifty concept. Either way ill update this OP as more info comes to light.
