Match Settings:
To start a match go to XBL match >> select view player hub >> hold Left Trigger and select Address Book >> select they player you are matched against. Set the match to "Ranked" and invite the player to the match.

Ea Live Season: Disabled in order to do this follow these instructions:
turn off Adidas Live Season for ranked matches. This will be a requirement for all players in season 2 to do this, go to Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Adidas Live Season. Turn it off for the ranked match setting. This still effects ranked matches started via the Player Hub which is how all CG matches should be started.

Any team may be chosen.

DO NOT STAT GLITCH OR DREAM TEAM GLITCH. IF YOU ARE FOUND OUT YOU WILL BE BANNED INDEFINITELY.

If it is a draw after 120mins you may either finish the game with a penalty shootout, or if both players agree, replay the match.

Forfeits:

If a player fails to show this will result in that player forfeiting the match unless it was agreed upon between the two teams prior. ENTER 24-0 to show a forefit victory

If a player has two consecutive forefits against their name they will be removed from the ladder.

Hosting:
The player with the best connection should host the lobby. If there are significant problems, ie connection issues, then the 2nd player should host the lobby.

Connection Issues:
If a player has connection issues during the match that cause them to be dropped from the game the match will end.

If the player that dropped was ahead by 1 or more goals at the time when they dropped then the match should be replayed. If the match was a draw AND the first half had not yet finished then the match should be replayed.

If the dropped player was behind by 1 or more goals, or the match was a draw and in the second half of the match then the dropped player forfeits the match.

Finals:
The top 16 teams in the Open League qualify for the finals.

The format for the finals is 16 team straight elimination. If you lose, you are out. All finals matches are to be played under the same rule as normal ladder matches with the exception of the Grand Final. The Grand Final is best of 3.

Season Structure:

season will run for aprox 2 months. All games will be assigned by the admins. The players will then offer a time as with a normal challenge. The player will then have 48 hours to respond. The match will be played and scores should be entered after the match.

Forfits/No shows:

As this is a pro league for it to be successful you must show to every game possible. if you believe you cannot fulfill this then you should remove your team immediately from the invite league and rejoin the open ladder.

If you need to have a game postponed you will have to play the game at a rescheduled time within 48 hours of the original time set. you should post if you are unavailable on the match page or by PM to a Fifa 09 admin.

Enter 3-0 for forfit wins!!! this allows admins to easily identify those who do not show to matches and they will be able to remove the team from the league. If a losing player quits during the game the match will end and the winning team will gain 3 goals onto his/her score.

If a team forfits 2 consecutive matches they will be removed.

Finals:
The top two teams from each group progress to finals. The format for finals is 8 team straight elimination. Each match is best of 3.

* When the final scoreboard is visible.

Any time when the scoreboard is shown with the final results, record evidence then, as in many games the score is not available again.

Evidence of results can be in the form of a screen capture or digital camera photo of screen. Please view the examples provided. The evidence must be legible, if the results can not be determined from the picture the evidence will not be accepted.

Evidence of results can be uploaded as part of the ladder challenge system. The information will be available publicly through the results section.

Disputes over results will not be accepted if one team has not provided any evidence.

Cheating:
Cheating is defined as, but not limited to, the following activities:

  • Deliberately manipulating your connection, as the host or player.
  • Using any settings that are restricted by the rulesets. Including perks or incorrectly setting up the game.
  • Getting out of the boundaries of any map.
  • Using a modified controller
  • Playing in more than one team on a single ladder.
  • Exploiting ingame mechanics.

If you are unsure if something is classified as cheating or not it is up to you to check with an appropriate referee beforehand.

Jumping within the boundaries of the map is not considered a glitch

If a player is caught cheating in a match their team will forfeit the rounds that were affected. If a player is caught cheating a 2nd time they will forfeit the match. The teams participation in the season will also be reviewed.

In all cases of cheating the burden of evidence falls on the accuser. All reports of cheating should be submitted directly to the appropriate Cybergamer referee with all evidence.

Claims of cheating made in the public forum are not acceptable and will be removed.

Evidence must be provided in the form of digital video or video screen capture. Still captures are not sufficient evidence.

Continual unsubstantiated claims or claims involving falsified evidence will result in action being taken against the player making the claim. Claims made by "aliased" players will be disregarded.

To make a claim post in the results forum after your match.
